Below are the reference images and inspirations which I will use to make my flying appliance. I chose to use a fan as It already has propellers so which makes deciding where to place propellers on an appliance a lot easier. I think that I will take use an old style cage with a newer style of propeller to try and give it a apocalyptic look as it would look like it has been made from different components to craft the drone I am planning to make. At the bottom of the images, i have included exploded views of a fan just to help

me to see clearly what parts to where exactly and how it fits together.

With my appliance drone, I will attach 1 or 2 heavy machine guns as seen in the images below. To try and push an apocalyptic setting, I want to have something with a rounded long barrel as seen in most of these images as of right now, I think I will base my gun off of the browning m19a1 as seen in images 2 and 3 and maybe if I can find a way to make it fit, I may give it a mini-gun type of barrel. I will also keep the ammo belt and have it hanging out the gun and I will use the swivel bipod clips as seen in images 1, 2, 3 and 8 so that the gun can have a full 360 degree rotation as well as moving up and down.

I also have captured some image of CCTV cameras which I could use to help me model a camera for my drone model.

For the main body of my drone, I have come up with the idea of using a flymo lawnmower. I have chosen this as I think it will be able to be used as a good sized body for my drone as well as that the exposed engine will fit perfectly in my apocalyptic theme. I'm thinking of using metal pipes to attach the fans and the body together. i did toy around with the idea of using a circular robotic hoover as then main body but decided the lawnmower was the better option.

For how the fans will be connected to the lawnmower, I will use pipes like as seen in the image below and have everything bolded together with bolts and rivets.

These images are going to be my reference images when I come to model the mesh around the lawnmower's engine

The reason I have gone for things which are completely different is because I really want this model to look like it has been salvaged together out of items which have been found to try and push the apocalyptic setting I have been given.
