Here are the reference images I used for modelling the hat that is sat on top of the fridge.
To model the hat, I started off with a cylinder where I inset the top polygon, split in half and mirrored an instance (or could use the symmetry modifier). I then extruded the inset part to create the top part of the hat. I then used inset and bevel to create the dip in the top of the hat. I used the shell modifier to give the hat some depth.
To create the dents on the side, I exported the model in to Mudbox and sculpted the dents.
