Like everything I've made, I researched designs to try and get inspiration from what I could make for my beach house model. In my final design, I combined the cylindrical shape of in image 4 with the design of the light in image 2.
To create this light, simply start off with a cylinder on the wall then bevel it outwards and inwards. After that, create a new cylinder (this time the actual light) and add 4 lines to the top and bottom (even space between them) and give two of the created rings a glass texture and inset the top and bottom polygons and also give them a glass texture (as seen in the image below). All the polygons which don't have a glass texture, extrude them out wards a little bit (I also chamfered the edges to give it a rounded look). Once that is done simply place a corona light in side the lamp and change the light settings to the preferred settings.
