Concept Sketches

Here are two concept sketches I have come up with so far for my flying vessel. the first both are similar styles, but in the first image, I have used the hover lawnmower with the exposed engine as the body (which is the one I want to use) and the other one is using the circular robot hoover. With these sketches, I have obviously based my drone off of modern day drones with the way there are 4 propellers which carry the drone around.

When I model the actual model, I will try and model damage i.e. some of the propellers may be missing or broken; the cages of the fans my be splintered and split. I'm also thinking to make all the fans different from each other so it looks like salvaged scrap which has been found and assembled into a drone.

The images below are some of my sketches of some minor details which I will try and imitate on my final model.

The first image is of a mesh which will surround the engine of the Lawnmower and act as a sort of shield to the engine, I will probably make it look all damaged and have different parts have a different mesh pattern to make it look like it has been crafted with different mesh sheets. They will be bolted onto the rims of the lawnmower with a metal sheet running around the edge to help support it.

The last two images are different concepts on how I would fit the gun, the first one will be bolted on by two different pipes either side which means the entire drone will have to turn to aim. But in the second image I have made it where a bipod is bolted underneath the drone which is attached to a swivel part so that the gun can move full 360 degrees without the drone needing to rotate (as well as aim up and down). I will probably go for the later design choice for the gun.
