Placing the Camera In 3DS Max and animating

The first thing to do before animating the drone was to place the video footage into After Effects and track the camera.

Then create a Null and run the script and select the camera and the null, make sure the 3DS Max is ticked and then go to options and change the slider to 1:1 then export.

Then import the camera into 3DS Max and set the video as the background and then start to animate the drone.

Create a plane and apply a shadow catcher to the plane.

Then set up the lighting using an HDRI and use the curve on the Output to change the brightness and the shadow strength then render out the video.

In the second video, my drone flies over a fence so i modelled the basic out line of the fence so I knew how high the drone should fly and applied a shadow catcher to it so that the shadow would appear on the fence.
